Spring again at plot 20, well, almost.
This winter the plot has mostly been under water, or at least very very waterlogged. The problem with our clay soil is that it really just acts like a pond liner and holds the water. Thankfully, our plot wasn't as badly affected as some; the drain in the lowest corner was certainly full, but plot 21's pond had completely overflowed on his plot. It was a very sad looking place last month.
Still, onwards and upwards...
Its seed sowing time. Today I sorted through all the seed packets that were left over from last year and with the help of Small Boy we figured which ones were past their date and which we'd need to buy new of. So off we went to the local garden centre, a lovely place where the senior members of staff really know what they're doing.
So, seeds bought, arranged into planting/sowing order, all we have to do is get going... and we discover we have no seed compost... oops! I guess thats tomorrow's plan!
